How to play Block Drop
Block Drop is a falling-blocks puzzle played on a 10-by-20 board. Different four-cell shapes fall one at a time from the top. Slide them left and right, rotate them, and drop them so they pack together with as few gaps as possible. Whenever a horizontal row is completely filled across all ten columns, that row clears and everything above it falls down. Clear lines to score; clearing several rows with a single piece is worth far more than clearing them one by one.
The blocks fall faster as you reach higher levels, so the longer you survive the harder it gets. The game ends when a new block has no room to enter at the top. Your score, lines cleared, and current level are shown beside the board, and your best score is saved in your browser so you can try to beat it. Everything runs entirely on your device — no account, no upload.
Controls
On a keyboard, use the left and right arrows to move, the up arrow (or X) to rotate, the down arrow to soft-drop one step, the spacebar to hard-drop instantly, and P to pause. On a phone or tablet, use the on-screen buttons below the board to move, rotate, soft-drop, and hard-drop — you can also swipe to move and tap to rotate.
Tips
Keep the stack low and flat, and leave one column open for a long vertical piece so you can clear several rows at once. Rotate a piece before it lands rather than after, and use the hard drop only when you are sure where the piece should go — a single misplaced block can cost you many rows.
