How to play
Snake is a timeless arcade game. You control a snake that moves continuously across a grid. Use the arrow keys — or swipe on a touchscreen — to turn up, down, left, or right. Every piece of food you eat makes the snake one segment longer and adds a point to your score. The catch: you can't reverse directly back on yourself, and the game ends the moment the snake's head runs into a wall or into its own body.
As your snake grows, the board gets tighter and a single careless turn can end the run. The longer you survive, the higher your score. Your best score is saved in your browser so you can keep chasing it — everything runs entirely on your device, with no account and nothing to upload.
Tips
Leave yourself room. Try to keep the snake near the edges and double back in neat rows rather than coiling into the middle, where you can trap your own head. Plan your next turn before you reach the food, and slow down mentally even though the snake speeds up — most crashes come from turning a beat too early or too late.
